This is one of those Daddy Day Care activities that is spent by me and my eldest son, Maki. Yup and yes, we were just the ones who went to this fun and exciting activities for kids and kids-at-heart. I said kids-at-heart because there were also teens and parents present during the event. For the parents it is understandable that they'll be accompanying their children to this kind of activity but for the teens, well, some of them are in cosplay mode so I think they were there just to be in character.
This activity was made possible by Cartoon Network and of course together with their sponsors. Cartoon Network is one of the kid's favorite channel in the Philippines. Recently, with their event themed as "Where in the Ooo Are You?" which is an event for Adventure Time fans jam packed the whole event area of SM Mall of Asia. This was held last Saturday, April 20, 2013, just a nice and right day for the whole family to enjoy and have fun.
Okay, I don't know if you, readers, know Finn and Jake and the series of Adventure Time. Well if not here's a brief information about them. Adventure Time is one of the most popular Cartoon Network original series across the globe. Adventure time introduces viewers to the unlikely heroes Finn and Jake, buddies who traverse the mystical Land of Ooo and encounter its colorful inhabitants. the best of friends, the heroes always find themselves in the middle of heart-pounding escapades. Finn, a silly kid with an awesome hat and Jake, a brassy dog with a big kind heart, depend on each other through thick and thin.
So if you've know them already, this summer the crazy and wild adventures of Finn and Jake will continue with fresh new episodes premiering every Monday at 5:30 PM. The latest season features celebrity voices from Neil Patrick Harris (How I Met Your Mother) and Donald Glover (Community) in the special episode titled "Bad Little Boy." Also unique to this season is a fun interactive activity for Adventure Time fans who can get weekly on-air clues in order to unlock free online games on CartoonNetwork.com.ph.
During the whole-day event we were provided with an Adventure Time passport where my son, Maki enjoyed every stations in the said passport. The only problem that we had that time was that the line was too long in every activity station plus the bad weather which makes us very sweaty that time. Aside from the activities there were programs being done on the center stage while others who want to go through with all the stations are patiently waiting for their turns.
Also there were apparels being sold inside the activity area. It's ore of a souvenir item that will make them remember that they had been to that event even if it was just in a short span of time.
Maki was able to complete all the stations, unfortunately he wasn't able to bring home some winning goodies from those activities. All in all we had a great time!
