"Missing My Son on Friday Night"

Today is Friday and I was supposed to be travelling bound to Manila right now but eventually work calls. Whether I like it or not we have to work tonight to finish some documents needed on Monday. Plus we have a Medical Mission tomorrow at Dinalupihan, Bataan.

I wonder what is Maki doing tonight and what he will do tomorrow? I hope that he won't get any bruises again. Last week he charged the wall like a bull, well of course he cried out loud. I just hushed him and showed his favorite show Barney.

I just hope that the Medical Mission finish early tomorrow.

"The Packed Lunch"

Angie, my wife, cooked and prepared food for my lunch. It was still hot when I put it in my bag. I was in a hurry to get on time on our designated meeting place so I could hitch on the way to work.

The day was so very busy and there was also a meeting held at the office and we are the sponsor. So in other words our lunch is free and my packed lunched wasn't touched at all.

Tonight, thanks for the packed lunch my wife prepared because we were so hungry and we still have lots of things to do. It seems that the packed lunch became dinner already.

I just took a few minutes break and blog about this. So it's time to continue work again........

"Playing with Your Toddler"

What do you always do whenever you come home from work? Me, I play with my kid. I make sure that I get a time to play with my kid. At least an hour is okay but eventually Maki wouldn't let me go until he falls asleep.

Playing with your kid and having some time with him or with them (if you have more than one kid) is a good way to communicate with them. Like for me I'm not always at home, I only have time with him on weekends and on Wednesday nights. Why? Because I work far from Manila, I work in Pampanga and especifically Clark. I stay there during weekdays. So having time with my kid is very important to me, his my energy booster. He always keeps me rejuvenated whenever I came from work, tired and stressed.

Playing with them also makes them feel much closer to you and aside from that you can also teach them a lot of things. Like Maki he can already hold the pen as if he can really write like a grown up though all his writings were scribbles. I just hope that he'll love art also, just like his dad.

Right now as I'm writing these blog post my son had fall asleep holding his pen and writing board. So I'll better get already before he hurt himself. Good night!

"Techie Church"

Who says technology is just for industrial and corporate companies? Well here's something that might give you an awe reaction when you see this church. Just read this on CNET News and it really gives me an awe reaction. The church is called the New Life Church in Colorado Springs, Colo. This church is a megachurch which has a 10,000 plus members. Now, if you're an old time pastor how would you convey to this 10,000 plus members the word of GOD? Thank GOD he gave us wisdom and man was able to create technology, which is what Pastor Brady Boyd is using during their worship service.

Our church also uses technology and some cool gadgets that really uplifts the way the worship service runs but not as techie as this church is.

"Saturday Family Day"

Our family today went to SM Fairview. We haven't been to SM Fairview for more than two months, I think? Anyway, Me, Mommy, and Maki stroll around SM Fairview and we were amazed that new things have developed on the look of SM. New stores, new tiles, and larger area to stroll around. But unfortunately, because of the changes and renovation they made we just happen to somewhat get lost a bit, especially those stores that we used to go to. With the continues renovation some areas are still closed.

Our first stop, Toy Kingdom. We tried to look for a new toy for Maki, fortunately we found some good stuff to buy for Maki in the near future and unluckily we didn't find any toys today so we decided to just buy him a bag. A bag with a design on it, of course we get the characters he's used to... "the CARS" Lightning McQueen. Yup he likes it! Main reason we bought this bag is for his feeding bottles and milk. He needs it!

Next stop, New appetite for Maki. Since we're starving we strolled around for restaurants and food chains to satisfy our appetite. Since most of them were not new and some of them were too expensive we tried to eat at Kenny Rogers Restaurant and ordered a sumptuous meal. My side dish is cheesy macaroni and Mommy got two, one is corn & carrots and the other one is the fruits. At first we thought Maki wouldn't like the cheesy macaroni but to our amazed he liked it very much and take note I only ate 1/3 of it. I think his really hungry by that time. We also try to feed him with the fruits. First attempt, we chopped the pineapple slice into smaller bits so that Maki can chew it easily but what happen is he just puke it out of his mouth. So we thought he didn't like it at all. When the cheesy macaroni was finished we tried again to let him taste the fruits this time we gave him one slice and good thing is that he liked it very much. Even the peach! So this is another milestone for Maki in developing his taste buds.

Last stop, the New Storyland. Storyland is one of the area in SM Fairview where lots of kids and kids at heart go to. This area is also being renovated and I think they have only finished the half, the other half is still on going renovation. Maki like the new look of their benches and he loves it. We got hard time moving away from those benches but we have to go home because its getting late already.

All in all we had fun today and Maki had a great time also. Oh before I forgot we had bought also a new VCD Movie for Maki, the title is "Bolt". Well he got new movie to watch over and over again.

"Another T.G.I.F.!"

Today is Friday and a few more minutes work is over. Can't wait to get back home and play with my son. I just hope that I will be home early today and catch up with Maki before he sleeps. I'm not sure if he will sleep early tonight because this past few days he sleeps very late. Putting him to bed is really a hard time. I haven't read any materials yet regarding making your toddler sleep early. Maybe I'll try to look and search for it later tonight.

Another thing me and my wife haven't watched any movies lately since Maki was born. I missed the "Transformers" and I'm planning if we could watch tomorrow but my wife Angie wanted to watch "Harry Potter". Maybe I'll just watch it some other time if there's still a cinema showing the 'Transformers".

Right now I'll just cross my fingers and hope that our movie time tomorrow will pursue!

"The Wonder Baby"

I just saw this video clip on Berry Blog showcasing a cute little girl. The kid is very talented and take note she is only four (4) years old. She really know the moves and steps of the Wonder Girls and she has the attitude.

You'd better watch this and see for yourself.

"Back masking Barney's Theme Song"

I don't know if this is real or what! My only thought about back masking is that when we try to listen to something that is not played in a normal manner we will surely hear and create wordings out of that sound. Why should we play it backwards when it is supposed to be played forward.

One more thing, why do we keep on criticizing and trying to look for something behind those music when in fact the lyrics and music played today doesn't conceal their wordings. Example of this is the F**K word where you can hear it in most music. That's just my point. My kid loves to watch Barney and we sometimes watch together during our bonding time. So for those who would hear this back masked barney song it's up to you if you want to believe or not.

"Sunday Service: Evangelizing"

I wasn't able to understand yesterdays message because I was going in and out of the church because I don't want Maki to disturb other church goers. I was able to get only the main idea and it is mainly about evangelizing. I didn't get the verses and the pointers of the message.

Maki is too hyper this days and we cannot contain him in just one place. In order to keep him from shouting and running around is that we have to go in and out of the church. I wonder? Does other parents having hard time with their kids also. They say that Maki is near turning two and they call they the terrible two. I hope that his not that terrible.

"Laundry Bag"

Having babies or kids in the house really put your house into a situation that is very not good. There are a lot of baby’s clothes everywhere, from shorts to shirts and from bibs to socks. In other words the whole house is in mess. Good thing that there is the old laundry bag that you can depend on. Laundry bag is the best way to put all your dirty clothes, towel wrap, baby’s clothes, and even their nap mat. So with this, the whole house will be nice and clean.

Good thing there is a site that offers these things. You can get different kind of things from this site like laundry bag, clothes, towel wrap, bags, and even nap mat. The best part is that it’s just a click away and you can even order it when you’re at home. Just click your internet browser and get it at posylane.

"Saturday Fun with My Family"

Today, our family went to Ever Gotesco Mall and we had so much fun. This is Maki's day out since we last went to Trinoma Mall. Though the weather is not go we still pursue.

When we got to the mall we started our day with our afternoon snack. Mommy bought Dunkin Donuts and siomai and then we went to Jollibee and bought a kiddie meal with a toy, there we had our snack. Maki ate one whole choco honey dipped doughnut and a portion of spaghetti. We don't know if his very hungry or not but he ate like a hungry kid.

Afterwards we went to Tom's World and play. Maki really love to ride those animal carts and the cho cho train. His not scared at them anymore. He really enjoyed playing around at Tom's World and of course me and mommy also had fun.

We continue our fun in a videoke room, we sung four songs and Maki sings with us. He even sings when we were already finished singing. He really wanted to hear his voice especially the echo.

We had our dinner at Tokyo Tokyo and Maki (I think) learned to use the chopsticks. Then our final destination was Mommy's shoes and Maki's vitamins then we went home and rested.

"Printable Birthday Card"

What's the most important thing to receive aside from gifts when someone is celebrating birthday? Yes, a birthday greeting card. The soul of each and every gift given no matter how long or short it is. Just like the saying ‘the pen is mightier than the sword’.

But now a day, I think computers are mightier. No matter what is the medium that is used still the thought is the one that counts.

Just like this website that offers thousands of symbols, subject gifts, and different designs of greeting cards to choose from. You can send it through email or you can just print it like what I’m going to print for Maki, a printable birthday card, as gift for his playmate.

"Rubber Mat Puzzle for Maki"

Tonight I just got a present for Maki, a rubber mat puzzle with numbers and letters. This one is much bigger than his little rubber mat puzzle.

I found this on DIY (Do It Yourself Shop) at Ever Gotesco Commonwealth. I was paying at the counter for my purchases and I saw the rubber mat puzzle, look at the prize and when I notice it's a bit cheaper I decided to buy it.

When I got home Maki was so happy with my present. He wanted to open it already. So I opened it but when I smell the odor I emmidiately soak it with water and a little bit of soap to get rid of the odor. Of course Maki was crying already because he couldn't play with it at once. I just let Maki see me washing to mat to make him realize that it's not yet suitable for playing.

Right now, we haven't let Maki play with it. We'll just have to let the factory odor of the rubber worn off.

"Couples Spices"

While checking on my emails I find this one that captures my attention. The title of the email is re: Woman's Revenge, it is a forwarded message. Intriguing so I check it out and this is the content

'Cash, check or charge?' I asked, after folding items the woman wished to

As she fumbled for her wallet, I noticed a remote control for a television
set in her purse.

'So, do you always carry your TV remote?' I asked.

'No,' she replied, 'but my husband refused to come shopping with me,

and I figured this was the most evil thing I could do to him legally.'

I know I'm not going to understand women.

I'll never understand how you can take boiling hot wax,

pour it onto your upper thigh, rip the hair out by the root,

and still be afraid of a spider.

While attending a Marriage Seminar dealing with communication,

Joe and his wife Ann listened to the instructor,

'It is essential that husbands and wives know each other's likes and

He addressed the man, 'Can you name your wife's favorite flower?'

Tom leaned over, touched his wife's arm gently and whispered, 'It's
Pillsbury, isn't it?

A man walks into a pharmacy and wanders up & down the aisles.

The sales girl notices him and asks him if she can help him.

He answers that he is looking for a box of tampons for his wife.

She directs him down the correct aisle..

A few minutes later, he deposits a huge bag of cotton balls and a ball of
string on the counter.

She says, confused, 'Sir, I thought you were looking for some tampons for
your wife?

He answers, 'You see, it's like this, yesterday, I sent my wife to the store

to get me a carton of cigarettes, and she came back with a tin of tobacco

and some rollingpapers; cause it's sooo-ooo--oo- ooo much cheaper.

So, I figure if I have to roll my own .......... so does she..

(I figure this guy is the one on the milk carton!)

A couple drove down a country road for several miles, not saying a word.
An earlier discussion had led to an argument and
neither of them wanted to concede their position.
As they passed a barnyard of mules, goats, and pigs,

the husband asked sarcastically,
'Relatives of yours?'

'Yep,' the wife replied, 'in-laws.'

A husband read an article to his wife about how many words women use a

30,000 to a man's 15,000. The wife replied,
'The reason has to be because we have to repeat everything to men.. '

The husband then turned to his wife and asked, 'What?'

A man said to his wife one day, 'I don't know how you can be
so stupid and so beautiful all at the same time.
'The wife responded, 'Allow me to explain.
God made me beautiful so you would be attracted to me;
God made me stupid so I would be attracted to you !

A man and his wife were having an argument about who should brew the coffee
each morning.

The wife said, 'You should do it because you get up first,

and then we don't have to wait as long to get our coffee.

The husband said, 'You are in charge of cooking around here and

you should do it, because that is your job, and I can just wait for my

Wife replies, 'No,
you should do it, and besides, it is in the Bible that the man should do

Husband replies, 'I can't believe that, show me.'

So she fetched the Bible, and opened the New Testament and showed him at
top of several pages,
that it indeed says 'HEBREWS'

A man and his wife were having some problems at home and were giving each
other the silent treatment.
Suddenly, the man realized that the next day, he would need his wife to
him at 5:00 AM for an early morning business flight. Not wanting to be the
first to break the silence (and LOSE), he wrote on a piece of paper,
wake me at 5:00 AM .' He left it where he knew she would find it.

The next morning, the man woke up, only to discover it was 9:00 AM and he
had missed his flight Furious, he was about to go and see why his wife
hadn't wakened him, when he noticed a piece of paper by the bed.

The paper said, 'It is 5:00 AM . Wake up..'

Men are not equipped for these kinds of contests.

I was laughing while reading all of these, it's a joke but it really does happen to every couples. I think couples do have some differences and they don't actually jive in every way. Still there is some portions that couples don't agree together. Anyway that's the best part of it, a bit of spices.

"Tantrum Sunday"

Today Maki and I were alone in the house because mommy's got work today. My routine of Saturday Activities were change because of my wife's new job. Her work is from Sunday to Friday. No work on Saturday and she goes early on Sunday so we can catch up with the Vesper Church Service.

The whole day were busy doing chores for Maki. His breakfast, bath, vitamins, milk, etc., etc.

Today, I had a hard time putting Maki to bed and his having an explainable tantrums. He don't want to be laid on bed, he just wanted to be carried and he would cry out loud just to get what he wants. I really get tired and it's like weight lifting in the gym.

I've already prepared all the things to bring but still Maki wasn't quite good yet he still has tantrums. He fall asleep while crying. He woke up at around 4:30 PM. We wouldn't make it to the church and besides where already 30 minutes late, so again, we stayed home and let Maki sleep.

What a day!

"Bored in the Office? Try This!"

I found this video on some other blogs and it really made me laugh. If this is how you removed boredom then it's a cool thing to do but maybe a more different type of music.

I tried to look at the real music video of the song and I found out that it was sung by a group of Japanese girls called the "Wonder Girls".

Enjoy the video!

"Roller Babies"

Parents are these your babies? These babies are not real but I surely enjoyed watching this video. Entertaining and the babies are cute.

I showed this video to my son and let him watch it till the last part. He laughed at it pointing to the babies and he sometimes utter "bebe" means baby.

Just wonder... what if babies at this age really skates. Whew! What will they be if they grow up. Too advanced! Anyway good thing babies are still babies.

So, enjoy watching this video!

"Nothing Much!"

Well, got a busy day today. Right now I'm still locked in this office because it's raining and I don't have any service vehicle to ferry me to the staff house. So.... I might as well stay for a while and do some blogging. Hehehe!

"You're the 1, Goldilocks"

I just became a father less than two years ago. My wife gave birth to a cute little baby boy. Not on a normal delivery but on a C section. The first two months was really hard. The abrupt change of lifestyle, the adjustment of sleep, and also include worrying really caused my weight to drop. But by just seeing how he smile and his cute little giggling sound really eased up all my aches. It's like a rejuvenating sound that heals my entire soul.

With my wife couldn't just move around so easily, gives me a chance to be a hands on Dad. I experienced changing his diapers, making his milk, singing lullaby, bathing him with lukewarm water, and even giving him his vitamins. This is also my activity whenever I'm at home.
The activities continues, two months... three months... four months... and so forth until I realize Maki is turning one already. Time really run so fast!
During my younger days, my parents would always prepare a great birthday party. It has lots of food, balloons, cake, and of course the lechon (roast pig) with an apple in its mouth. On that time, lechon is what we may call a status symbol. So for Maki's birthday, I wanted it to be wonderful more than his dad's birthday party. The party was themed 'Space Adventures' and we seems not to find any cake design that will suit. There is this store that we don't usually visit. We came in and
asked for their cake designs. Jackpot! We found one that fits the
theme. From then on we always check out this store on top of our list. Truly, you're the 1 Goldilocks, because you just simply saves
the day of a fathers dream for his son.

"The 4th of July"

Today is the the celebration of the Independence Day in US. Happy Independence Day to all the Americans!

Also today, here in the Philippines we are celebrating the Philippine-US Friendship Day.

A little history for everybody. Before, the Philippine Independence was move to July 4 to celebrate together with the US since we were under the US Government but later on it was moved back to June 12 to remember the day of our true independence. In recognition of the US Government July 4 was celebrated as the Philippine-US Friendship Day.

Being a Father

I selected this post to be featured on Dad Blogs. Please visit the site and vote for my blog!

Last Wednesday, while we're on our way to work (we hitched to our boss service) I borrowed a portion of the broadsheet newspaper from my officemate. The portion was the Life Style Section. I intent to look for some news and tidbits about paintings and stuffs about arts. I browsed the front page, seen some titles, looked for some interesting stuffs and then flipped over to the next page. When nothing seems interesting I turned it back to the front page and looked again.

Bold letters catched my attention and I thought it might be interesting. I didn't get the exact title of the article but it's about a bachelor father.

I started reading it. At first I thought it was some do's and don'ts about fatherhood but as I go along with the reading I find it different. Like I said before the article is about a bachelor father which I thought was like in the movies, "a husband left by his wife" but it's not like that. This bachelor adopted a baby to help a friend and later on he realized and asked to himself if his ready to raise a baby and be a father. He then embraced the fact and the idea of being a father. He did most of the fathers do when the mommy is doing something like changing diapers, making milk, and singing a lullaby. The ironic part is that he grew up without a father so he would just look at his cousins and relatives on how they acted as a father to their sons. In other words his becoming a father without an image of a father but he still manages to do that and another blessing came which he adopted another one. Now he has two sons and he wanted to be with them to teach them about life.

The story really hit me hard and made me think. I became a father just less than two years ago and the time of my stay with Maki really isn't that long enough to teach him things. We lived in Quezon City but my work is in Pampanga. I have to stay there to saved money. The cost of travelling back and forth five times a week is good enough to buy my sons diapers for one month. Anyway, that's the work I have and I need to love it till I get a new one.

But still, I thank God because He provides the weekends for our bonding time and sometimes I go home on midweek just to see my wife and our baby. So I still got time for my wife and my son.

I think the idea of what and how long have you taught is no greater than how you teach about life.

"Wordpress Flatform on My Website"

It is really hard to adjust and learn new method when you already mastered the old ones. Its much likely a blind-folded boy chasing the voice of his playmates. I'm much familiar with blogspot, since I started at blogspot. The tools and navigations are much easier to locate and much easier to do.

Now that I have a new website I find it difficult to link to my website from blogspot so I have decided to choose and download the wordpress flatform. Eventually, it eats up most of my time trying to learn the interface and tweaking thing.

Anyway I'm almost done with it. I'll just put some plugins and other stuff to complete my website.

So for now that's all I have done and I'm still continuing it 'til now....
