Daddy Day Care : Dad Played at Enfant 20th Anniversary Kick Off

Dad's like me has always been supportive with the Moms and for this particular event this Dad took time be part of the Enfant's 20th Anniversary celebration which was held at the Activity Center of Glorieta. This is their kick off of their celebration and what's more interesting is that this Dad participated in a game that we can say for the brave Dads. Going in front of a number of guests, onlookers and even passersby took guts, its even gutsier to play in a game that is based on what baby does.... what else but drink milk from feeding bottles. The only difference is that we're drinking juice and take note its more than two.

Monday Rush : New Traffic Scheme

Monday Rush is back and for this particular Monday I'm rushing to go to work because I might ended up trap in a new traffic scheme that the MMDA and HPG are laying on the streets of Metro Manila.  Yes, after so many plans and rerouting schemes that the MMDA had made they finally teamed up with the Highway Patrol Group in implementing traffic rules to road users.

Outburst of Emotion on My Birth Month

Just a little outburst (or more perhaps) of emotion today just to clear out some clogs in the system. These past few days things aren’t going pretty well for me. It’s a roller coaster ride of worries that make my thoughts preoccupied. Concentration isn’t good as it should be.

September is the month where I’m supposed to be enjoying and celebrating the wonderful gift of God, my birth. This is the part of the year that I’m supposed to be jolly and excited but instead I’m all cranky and grumpy. You know how it is when your plan doesn’t go the way you want it to be. But then again God is the all loving God that makes every little thing possible. He leads solution right into the tip of my nose.

Daddy Day Care : Movie Marathon

It's weekend once again and as always it is our day, Daddy's day. We've been away for so long again that I almost forgot what Daddy Yashiro's Journal looks like, hahaha, just kidding. Well I did been off for a long time and making updates about my life's journey is really a hard time especially that I'm working. But anyway we will cope up with the missed opportunities.

Movie marathon with the kids surely made our weekend less stress and fun. We did watched movies that we haven't seen yet, like the 'Book of Life'. What's amazing with these kinds of movies is that it gives moral lesson that kids can learn and imbibe.

Daddy Thoughts : Quality Time

Hi guys, this is my first post about daddy thoughts. Since this is the first time will just have to make some few introduction and some thoughts that I have.

So, let's start! Daddy thought will be our Thursday post that will talk about Daddy and their perspective in life, their kids, and of course everything under the sun. Just to let Dads share, be interviewed and air things that they know that might help others.

First of the Dads will be me of course and for today's segment is just a plain sharing no videos for now and our topic is about 'Quality Time.'  What do I know about Quality Time? Well, for me is about giving your family a portion of your time that is not half baked. A time that both you and your family enjoy very much. No other than the fun and the presence of every member of the family. For starting ones like mine, it is better to have it once a week and my wife make sure of that and I concurred with that. Kids needs that time for their development. Love and everything.

So, I hope I was able to share short thoughts. More Daddy Thoughts to come.

Blessings of Being A Dad This Father's Day

Being a Dad is hard and most of us knows that. Waking up in the middle of the night to fix milk for the baby or to change the diaper because it's filled with popo or just to sing a lullaby to make your sweet little angels fall sleep again. It's hard and yes it's very tiring, but you know what? All of these are nothing because the joy of being a Dad has just begun.

New Banner for Daddy Yashiro's Journal and Other New Stuff

Daddy Yashiro's Journal has been around for more than half a decade already and just recently, though we didn't celebrate it big, it reached its seventh year. Seven years of fatherhood adventure, seven years of sharing stories, seven years of meeting other people, and seven years of great thoughts about life. Seven years is indeed a number and we're moving onwards, though I've been on and off with this blog the goal is still much the same, I want to share more life stories and lessons others, specifically to Dads.

Our Kids Enjoyed Their Meet and Greet with Hi-5 Philippines Casts

If you hear this "Together... 1, 2, 3, 4,... Hi-5!", I'm sure you know it already. It's time to watch Hi-5! My kids love it very much that they even watch the episodes of Hi-5 on youtube over and over. Knowing that Hi-5 got its counterpart already made the kids even more excited that we really went to SM Megamall Atrium just to see the casts of Hi-5 Philippines. Take note Fely Irvine was there too and the kids enjoyed the day very much.

This is the very first public appearance of the Hi-5 Philippines casts. Though the venue was small, still the kids dance and sing with them wholeheartedly, even our kids. They sung some of the favorites in Hi-5 that moved the kids to their feet.

A More Child-Friendly Use of Computer

If I recall it right I have already created an article about internet browsers that are intended for children to keep them off from landing on sites not for kids. And of course I did use that with my kids and it worked out perfectly. Unfortunately I am now using a different operating system on my netbook and also using tablet devices so they are vulnerable for the kids to land on sites not intended for them. So, one of my friend sent me this information and they are calling all computer savvy parents to have a peek of this BETA version that is going to be released soon. KidslockWindows.com is soon to be released on Windows store and it is an app that provides security system for parents to oversee their children's activity on the computer. This has never before been offered for the Windows platform.

Ten Things I've Learned Being A Parent Part II

Sorry for the long gap before posting the second half of the Things I've Learned, got too busy on the other blog Kwento Ni Toto. So, enough with the long flowery beds of words and lets get it on with the next half.
  • 6. Walk Your Talk – We parents are the role model of our babies and kids. They look up unto us and watches all that we do and kids are very keen observers so they’ll imitate whatever things we do. To make sure that our babies and kids obey us let us try to do appropriate things. Don’t say yes when you mean no and don’t say no when you mean yes.

Daddy Yashiro Sees The New Side of Pampers, Celebrating Baby's First With New Pampers Baby Dry and Pampers FirstBook

For more than five years, we have been on the call for fair and equivalent treatment for Dads. Remember the Pampers ad case that we have posted before, it was really a bad portrayal of Dads but recently during in an event which I was encouraged to attend to by my beloved wife, I got see the new face of Pampers with their baby's firsts campaign.

In one of their ads during the event shows now that fathers are more involved and not the lazy ones that is portrayed before. This by the way helps me understand more about the product and their newest application. I'm not against about the product but I'm against about how Fathers are being portrayed.

Daddy Yashiro Got A New Soap For The Kids, the Personal Collection’s White Dove Baby Milk Soap

Okay it isn’t Daddy Day Care yet but will definitely come to that soon and with that the kids got something from their Mom which she got from Personal Collection. Yes, Personal Collection got something new with their line of products and take note these for the kids. So, in other words Daddy Yashiro got a new soap to use for the kids during their bath time and it is the Personal Collection’s White Dove Baby Milk Soap.

Since these products are for babies, it isn’t bothersome to take a look at it and read the details that it got on their packaging. According to Personal Collection’s White Dove Baby Milk Soap the product got a germ protection formula that is intended for baby’s sensitive and delicate skin. It is clinically proven to mildly yet effectively wash away germs and bacteria while cleansing baby’s skin through SKINergy Active Formula (SAF). This is not the SAF things that you read on the news. Okay.

Ten Things I've Learned Being A Parent Part I

I've posted this list before but wasn't able to fully describe each learning. So for now we'll be expounding it further for other parents and parents to be to peek what's in store for them. Again this is what I've learned and hopefully others may learn more as they experiences with their kids progresses.

It's not easy having kids but the return of seeing them grow, laugh, and do stuff with you is a fulfilling experience. They are truly God's gift!

Friday Toys : Transformers Airachnid

It’s the first month of the year and this is my first post about toys for this year. Well, I got a lot of new toys (from my kids toy box of course) to showcase and some insights to share. They may not be the toy for your kids right now but hey sooner or later you’ll find you babies aren’t babies anymore. So why not get something for them and just store for now and when the right time comes you can hand it down to them for them to enjoy.

Anyway, this Dad is a bit busy lately so I wasn’t able to do some reviews about the toys for the kids and kids-at-heart. So for our Friday Toys, which is our first review of the year, we will be sharing one of the toys that my son Maki got as a present from hi godfather. It was an icon name in the cartoons and toy industry and even movie. Just last year it has shown another sequel that made almost all of the Dads go gaga to watch it. What else but the Transformers! But I’m not going to review the movie instead I’m here to share my insight about this toy that my son got.

Knowing Metascreen, A Guard Against ‘Sudden Death’

Here's one information that we, parents, need to know and be aware of. It's happening and nobody knows to whom it may happen but what we can do is have a preventive act about it. Here's the press release that you may read and information.

Nearly one baby every hour each day dies abruptly. An estimated 7,000 babies die each year without warning. Parents are left clueless after the death as the possible causes remain unknown even after undergoing autopsy. All because of the Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS).

SIDS is the unexplained death of babies usually occurring during sleep and striking under unexpected circumstances. Even a healthy one-year old baby may be a victim of the condition which is often simply attributed to physical and environmental factors.

It's Our First Time To Watch Disney On Ice

Okay this story may tingle you to laugh at me and I don't mind if you laugh because it's the truth and nothing but the truth. But the good thing is that we're a family experiencing our firsts. Yup! All I'm about to write and all the things you'll be reading here are all first for us. It's our first time to watch Disney On Ice!

Daddy Day Care : When Kids Got Bored

As I have always done during weekends…. taking care of the kids, bathing them, and of course bond with them. This is my routine whenever my wife is out on the weekends, its Daddy duties!

The routine with the kids are not easy, especially if you don’t do it every day. Since I’m the duty officer every weekend I always got text message from wife reminding me of the things that should be done with the kids. In others if ever she doesn’t call I need to check my phone from time to time, of which I got used to it.

It’s the first day of the year 2015! Last night was a blast with all the food and noise that we had in the house. This is my first post for the year 2015 and praying for the continuity of sharing information, stories, tips, and other relevant post that others may use or apply to their lives.
